EWN Proving Grounds<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

EWN Proving Grounds are USACE districts and divisions committed to the broad integration of EWN principles and practices into all business lines in the form of constructed projects. Proving grounds are places where innovative ideas are tested on the ground, throughout USACE missions. They document processes, project milestones, and lessons learned in the implementation of EWN measures so others can learn from their experience.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

EWN for the Department of War<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The U.S. Department of War and its 3 million team members operate on more than 25 million acres and nearly 5,000 sites in different regions, climates, and landscapes in the U.S. and around the world. Over the last 5 years, DoW installations have experienced more than $10 billion in damage from natural hazards, such as storms and flooding. Given the complexity of DoW\u2019s mission, there are not many instances where simple, \u201csilver bullet\u201d infrastructure solutions are sufficient. Creating resilient systems requires innovative action.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The EWN Implementation Cadre is an informal network of U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) practitioners, representing a variety of disciplines across the enterprise, working to advance the application of EWN principles, practices, and technologies to deliver nature-based solutions. The Cadre provides opportunities to share knowledge, experience, and ideas which will ultimately expand USACE\u2019s ability to deliver projects that integrate natural and engineering process.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
