{"id":7936,"date":"2022-04-19T16:58:22","date_gmt":"2022-04-19T21:58:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ewn.erdc.dren.mil\/?p=7936"},"modified":"2022-10-07T11:00:54","modified_gmt":"2022-10-07T16:00:54","slug":"national-academies-workshop-benefits-applications-and-opportunities-of-natural-infrastructure","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ewn.erdc.dren.mil\/national-academies-workshop-benefits-applications-and-opportunities-of-natural-infrastructure\/","title":{"rendered":"National Academies Workshop: Benefits, Applications, and Opportunities of Natural Infrastructure"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong><em>May 10-11, 2022<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Register <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationalacademies.org\/event\/05-10-2022\/workshop-on-benefits-applications-and-opportunities-of-natural-infrastructure\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.nationalacademies.org\/event\/05-10-2022\/workshop-on-benefits-applications-and-opportunities-of-natural-infrastructure\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The National Academies is hosting a workshop on May 10-11, 2022&nbsp;that will explore the benefits, applications, and opportunities of natural infrastructure and its efficacy in areas such as natural hazard resilience, climate change adaptation, and sustainable, multi-purpose infrastructure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event will be a public, hybrid (in-person and virtual) workshop to assist the committee to explore opportunities to link the benefits of natural infrastructure across geographic scales and multiple objectives and to advance and mainstream natural infrastructure and nature-based solutions in public and private engineering practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A key audience for this workshop is the engineering community with the overarching objective to build recognition, understanding, support, and awareness of the applications of natural infrastructure.
