Originally from Rio Grande, Texas, Abel is a supervising engineer of the City of Austin Watershed Protection Department. At work, he focuses on machine learning and mathematical models to assess water quality for Austin’s water resources. At home, he enjoys reading, watching movies and eating out with his wife and two daughters. He also enjoys running and hiking.
