Announcing the WEDA Short Course on Nature-based Solutions Engineering and Construction

Purpose

Join us for a comprehensive exploration of Nature-based Solutions (NbS) at the upcoming Western Dredging Association (WEDA) Short Course on Nature-based Solutions Engineering and Construction. This one-day course will provide valuable insights into the rapidly expanding field of NbS, which supports risk management, hazard mitigation, sustainable infrastructure, and resilient communities.

With numerous NbS initiatives spurred by the White House and billions of dollars of investment from federal, state, and private sectors, this course is designed to equip participants with the latest technical guidance and best practices. Attendees will gain knowledge from practical case examples of field-scale NbS projects in coastal and riverine systems.

Course Outline and Agenda

Course Format:

  • The short course will be conducted in a classroom style over a full day (08:00 – 17:00).
  • Up to 100 participants from government agencies, the private sector, non-profits, academia, and other organizations.
  • Instruction from technical leaders in both public and private sectors.
  • Participants will have access to all class materials and presentations.
