Abigail Grant is a research general engineer with the Coastal and Hydraulics Laboratory (CHL) at the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC). Her focus is on fluvial geomorphology, working on both large rivers and small streams. Current areas of research include floodplain sedimentation mapping, the assessment of river training structures using remotely-sensed data, and geomorphic assessments of the Lower Mississippi River. She graduated Cum Laude from the University of Mississippi in biomedical engineering with a minor in history. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in river and coastal science and engineering from Tulane University.
