Bio

Catie Dillon is a Coastal Engineer with the Coastal and Hydraulics Laboratory’s Coastal Processes Branch (CHL-CPB) in Vicksburg, MS. She began her career at ERDC in July 2017, where she worked until July 2020. After spending 3.5 years as a district coastal engineer with the Honolulu District, she returned to ERDC-CHL in December 2023. Currently, Catie leads multiple projects funded by USACE Districts and serves as the Principal Investigator for USACE’s Wave Information Study Program (WIS). She is an expert in numerical and physical modeling of waves and nearshore hydrodynamic phenomena, with a particular focus on coastal structures, coastal storm risk management, wave climatology, and natural infrastructure.
