On June 24, 2021, the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee held a hearing on “The Role of Natural and Nature-Based Features in Water Resources Projects.” As part of the hearing, Dr. Todd Bridges shared written testimony, an opening statement, and answered questions from committee members.
Dr. Bridges’ testimony introduced the value of the nation’s natural capital and defined the term nature-based solution as intentional and substantial use of natural systems to support water resource solutions.
