Angela Duren is a Civil Engineer and Science & Technology (S&T) Program Manager in the Engineering and Construction Division of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Northwestern Division in Portland, Oregon. Her responsibilities include development and oversight of the S&T program covering five District Offices and two Division Offices.
Ms. Duren has over 20 years of experience with hydrology, hydraulic, and flood risk engineering projects specializing in statistical hydrology, risk assessment, water management, hydrologic modeling, and extreme precipitation analysis.
Dedicated to advancing science and evolving practice in hydrology, hydraulics, and coastal engineering, Mrs. Duren started her career at the U.S. Geological Survey, followed by five years in the private engineering sector and in the Corps at the Hydrologic Engineering Center. She received a B.S. in Environmental Science at New Mexico State University, and an M.S. in Civil Engineering and an M.S. in Hydrologic Science from University of California at Davis.
