Professor Michael W. Beck is the director of UCSC’s Center on Coastal Climate Resilience, the AXA Chair in Coastal Resilience, and co-lead of the NSF Coastlines and People “Strong Coasts” project. He has been a Fulbright Fellow and a Pew Marine Fellow.
