Bio

Andy Goodwin is a Research Engineer with the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center’s (ERDC) Environmental Laboratory, based in Portland, Oregon since 2004. His work focuses on solving complex challenges at the intersection of infrastructure and the environment, supporting the assurance needs of the U.S. Army, Department of Defense, and broader society. His research emphasizes the management of critical resources—water, land, air, and ecosystems—that are essential to national security and economic vitality.

Andy holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Virginia Tech, and an M.S. and Ph.D. in Environmental Systems Engineering from Cornell University.
