Mr. McClelland is a graduate of Mississippi State University and holds a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. His masters research was on the characterization and development of lightweight Al and Mg extrusion alloys, particularly those containing rare earth elements. Zackery began working at the Center for Advanced Vehicular Systems at Mississippi State University where he gained experience performing a wide range of nano and microscale characterization techniques on various materials. He has experience in characterizing materials ranging from polymers to advanced high strength steels. In June 2015 Zackery joined the Concrete and Materials branch where he performs research spanning multiple length scales on advanced materials and aids in the forensic analysis of failed metal components.
