Zak Ruehman is the director of engineering services for the Institute for Resilient Infrastructure Systems at the University of Georgia, leading interdisciplinary teams in developing nature-based and hybrid infrastructure solutions that enhance community resilience at the local, state, and federal levels. Previously, Ruehman worked as a lead engineer and project manager in the private sector, specializing in stormwater, flood resilience, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, infrastructure design, master planning, asset management, and parks and streetscape projects.
