This poster will be presented at the Gordon Research Conference: 2024 Advanced Materials for Sustainable Infrastructure Development in Ventura, California. Arc-Fracture tests can measure the structural response in Roman marine concretes and characterize regenerative repair processes after fracture episodes. This poster focuses on Roman Marine Harbor Concrete, Regenerative Repair, and fracture tests on Roman concrete.

(C) Force vs. crack opening displacement result, showing two consecutive load cycles. By interspersing periods of recovery time between load cycles, material self-repair capabilities can be assessed. Solution ingress and chemical durability tests will be performed on pristine and preloaded arc specimens. Repair of fracture surfaces will be investigated with fine-scale microscopy and analysis.
