The Summit brought together more than 1,000 government, nonprofit, academic, and private sector collaborators to share recent progress and identify the next steps for evaluating and planning integrated water resources projects. One hundred and twenty joined the event on-site, while 903 participants joined virtually.
Participants heard from senior administration personnel on the importance of considering and valuing a comprehensive range of economic, environmental, and social benefits in support of the President’s priorities, including the Justice40 Initiative and EO 14072. Ultimately, the feedback and perspectives shared in this Summit will provide USACE and many others with actionable and practical guidance to formulate, evaluate, and deliver nature-based solutions within integrated water resources projects.
Recorded presentations and panel discussions are hosted by The National Academy of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine.
